PDI


PROGRAM FOR DRIVER IMPROVEMENT

The 8-hour DTA Program for Driver Improvement (PDI) course can be taken by drivers who have been ordered by a Virginia court or by the DMV to attend a driver improvement clinic. This course can also be taken voluntarily for an insurance discount or to accrue up to five safe driving points. NOTE: CDL holders may not take this course for point dismissal, but should take a CMV course instead.

COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE COURSE

This 8-hour CMV course may be taken by Virginia CDL holders for the purpose of point dismissal, as CDS holders are not permitted to attend the standard 8-hour driver improvement clinic (PDI).

STUDENT TRAFFIC OFFENDER PROGRAM

Student Traffic Offender Program. This course is designed for individuals who have been ordered by a Virginia court to attend a youth-oriented program that addresses issues such as aggressive driving and traffic safety.
