8-hour traffic school / Intermediate Driver Improvement
course. In Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange,
and some other Florida counties, drivers can elect
to attend this course if they have been ordered by
a judge to attend an 8-hour traffic school program,
or if they have already attended a BDI course for
a Florida ticket within the previous 12 months.

ADVANCED DRIVER IMPROVEMENT
12-hour Advanced Driver Improvement course for drivers
with suspended or revoked licenses or HTOs. This course
may be ordered by a court or by the Florida DHSMV.
A driver must show proof of enrollment in an ADI course
before he or she is eligible to apply for a Florida
hardship license.
