Florida Aggressive Driving
(AGG) Course Details
In some counties in Florida, most commonly Miami-Dade,
Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, and Hillsborough counties,
drivers may be ordered by a Florida judge or a Florida
court to attend an 8-hour aggressive driving course.
In Florida, the term "aggressive driving"
indicates that a law enforcement officer has observed
a driver committing two or more serious moving violations
(such as speeding and reckless driving) at the same
time. Drivers who have been ordered to attend a Florida
aggressive driving course will have received an administrative
order from the judge or court in the county in which
the aggressive driving incident(s) took place.
Any driver who has been ordered to attend a Florida
aggressive driving course can take DTA's 8-hour Florida
Aggressive Driving Course.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The 8-hour Florida
Aggressive Driving Course is NOT the same as an 8-hour
Intermediate Driver Improvement Course (IDI), also sometimes
called "8-hour traffic school." The 8-hour
Florida Aggressive Driving Course is also NOT the same
as a Driving While License Suspended or Revoked Course
(DWLSR).
If you need an IDI or DWLSR course and you take the
Florida Aggressive Driving Course by mistake, the court
or judge might not accept your course completion certificate!
If you are not sure which course you need, please contact
the judge or court that issued your administrative order.
