Defensive Driving
Driver Training Associates, Inc. has been in
the business of providing defensive driving training
throughout the United States since 1977. Although we
specialize in Texas defensive driving, Florida defensive
driving, and New York defensive driving, we offer defensive
driving courses in several other states as well.
We believe that the keys to a successful defensive driving
course are developing material that is easily retained
by the student, presenting concepts in simple terms,
and using the latest technology to keep the student
interested and focused on the course. Our defensive
driving courses have been developed by experts in the
field of traffic safety and we offer both classroom
and online defensive driving training.
Our online defensive driving courses feature streamed
video segments, Flash animations, and interactive quiz
exercises. You won't find these in most other online
defensive driving courses, which consist primarily of
dry text and statistics.

Florida
Defensive Driving
Taking a Florida defensive driving class for a ticket you
received in the Sunshine State isn't as bad as it used to
be! Now you have a choice for your Florida defensive driving
course -- classroom or online. Both types of defensive driving
training will remove points for a Florida traffic ticket
(moving violation) or satisfy a court requirement to attend
a 4-hour Florida defensive driving course.
Our 4-hour DHSMV approved Basic Driver Improvement (defensive
driving) course is available for a variety of attendance
reasons, including point removal for a Florida ticket, mandatory
TCAC (Traffic Collision Avoidance Course) attendance ordered
by the State, and 4-hour court or judge ordered traffic

Texas
Defensive Driving
Driver Training Associates' 6-hour
TEA-approved Texas defensive driving course is a great
alternative to traditional lecture-type defensive driving
courses. You know the ones we mean: the type where you
have to listed to someone drone on for hours about defensive
driving without involving the students in the course.
Our defensive driving course requires student participation
and uses video to present Texas defensive driving in a
new and refreshing way. Our online Texas defensive driving
course is a convenient and easy way to complete your court
obligation for ticket dismissal AND get a 10% insurance
discount (Texas drivers only — most insurance carriers
will honor this discount, but we advise that you check
with your insurance company first to make sure you are

Virginia
Defensive Driving
Defensive driving school in Virginia
is now available either online OR in the classroom. DTA
prides itself on having the best Virginia defensive driving
program in the state. You can take our online Virginia defensive
driving course if you are over 20 years old and you do not
hold a commercial driver license. Virginia state law requires
drivers to attend a classroom
defensive driving course if they are under 20 years
old or hold a commercial driver's license.

York Defensive Driving
Sign up for DTA's New York DMV approved
defensive driving program today! Instead of a 6-hour defensive
driving lecture, our course uses video and a student participation
to keep students interested in the topics being presented.
Students frequently tell us that our presentation is much
more interesting than other defensive driving courses they
have used in the past, and the time went by much more quickly
for them.
Our New York defensive driving course is a New York DMV
approved Point Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP), meaning
that New York drivers can take the course to keep points
off for a ticket or to receive a 10% insurance discount.
