Just in time for Memorial Day weekend traffic tickets, New York drivers now have the option of completing a defensive driving course on the Internet. That’s great news for New Yorkers who are facing a possible driver license point suspension, as the course reduces up to four points on their driving record from tickets they have received within the past 18 months.
Beginning June 30, 2009, driving in Florida without wearing a seatbelt will be a primary offense. Currently, F.S. 316.614(8) considers failure to wear a seat belt a secondary offense. The new bill S344 makes the offense a primary offense. Continue reading
